UAE Visit Visa Proof of Funds: The AED 3,000 Rule Every Pakistani Applicant Should Understand

Huzi4 min read

Most rejected UAE visit visa files from Pakistan are not rejected because a document was missing. They are rejected because the money behind the trip did not look believable. Lately the UAE's desks and Dubai's arrival counters converged on one benchmark: AED 3,000 — in your bank account when the visa is filed, or in cash or credit when immigration asks at Dubai airport. Paisa ka saboot na ho to visa nahi, entry bhi nahi — families learn it at the counter, tickets already paid.

The 30-second version: When you apply for a UAE visit visa from Pakistan, expect the sponsor or typing centre to ask for a bank statement — commonly the last 3 to 6 months — showing at least around AED 3,000 (roughly USD 800) for a 30-day visit visa; some agents report higher benchmarks near AED 5,000 for 60-day files. At arrival, Dubai guidance asks visit-visa holders to be ready to show AED 3,000 in cash or credit, a confirmed return ticket, and proof of accommodation — and Pakistan's FIA exit counter asks for the same before you board.

Three Desks, One Bank Statement

The proof-of-funds question is asked at three different moments, and a family that prepares once passes all three:

  • The visa desk (before approval) — UAE airlines, hotels and licensed agents sponsoring your visa want evidence the trip is affordable. No federal figure is published, which is why numbers circulate informally: AED 3,000 is the most-cited minimum for 30-day files, with 60-day visas commonly benchmarked higher.
  • The arrival counter (Dubai immigration) — Dubai guidance asks visit-visa holders to be ready with AED 3,000 in cash or credit, a valid return ticket, and proof of where you are staying. Officers don't ask every passenger — they ask enough that "it depends" is not a plan.
  • The exit counter (FIA in Pakistan) — before you board, FIA's published baseline for visit-visa travellers is a return ticket, an advance-paid hotel booking and sufficient funds — its Dubai example: EUR 2,000 or equivalent, credit-card money included. The FIA immigration guide covers that counter in detail.

What a Clean Statement Actually Looks Like

The number is half the file; the shape of the money is the other half. AED 3,000 parked for two weeks after one large deposit reads worse than a steady AED 15,000 balance across six months. The desks are pattern-readers, and the patterns that reassure them are boring:

  • Three to six months of history, from a real bank with letterhead, stamp or verified digital PDF from the banking app
  • A balance that exists over time, not a lump sum that appears days before filing
  • Consistency with the trip — hotel bookings, ticket dates and daily budget in the same universe as the statement
  • Dependents sponsored properly — children and non-earning spouses don't need their own statements, but the sponsor's statement must visibly carry the whole family, with the relationship documents (B-form, marriage certificate) in the same file

Where Families Get This Wrong

One statement for five travellers. A father sponsoring four family members needs a statement that survives arithmetic: five tickets, five hotel guests, days of spending — against one balance. Cash-only plans. PKR cash without a working international card can pass the visa desk and still fail the Dubai counter — activate your debit card's international use before flying; Pakistani banks often leave it off. Hand-scanned statements. A blurry passbook screenshot is not a statement — take the stamped copy or the app's verified PDF. Borrowed-money files — a relative parking money in your account for the visa window — collapse when a desk reads the transaction history, and they poison the borrower's future record too.

DIY or Desk on This One

Assembling the file is DIY: one statement, one paid hotel booking, one return ticket, all consistent. What is not DIY-friendly is knowing which sponsor's file the desks are approving this month, how strict the funds check runs for your visa type, and what to change after a refusal for "insufficient funds" — refiling the same file usually produces the same answer. The team at HTG Travel reviews the funds file before any application is submitted — reach us on WhatsApp at +92 317 5054959, by email at [email protected], or at htg.com.pk. We answer before payment and after it — no hidden charges, no ignored messages, and the assessment arrives in writing.

Fees, documents, insurance and the 2026 overstay fines are covered in the UAE visit visa guide; repeat visitors should see the 5-year multi-entry visa guide.

A visa file proves a family can afford a trip. Gaza's families are asked to prove the opposite — that they deserve to survive — while Israel starves them under blockade and bombs what remains. May Allah end the arithmetic of siege, and let Palestine's people plan ordinary trips to ordinary homes. Sudan's families carry what wealth cannot fix: displacement, hunger and war. May Allah rebuild Sudan in peace, so its people can plan futures again too.
